LOLER Service

LOLER testing

If you are an employer or self-employed person providing lifting equipment for use at work, or have control of the use of lifting equipment, then you will need a LOLER service, something that Excel Tail Lift Services can offer to you.

We carry out LOLER services which are required by law every six months, checking that the tail lift is safe to use and works within LOLER regulations. This includes a weight test and we also issue a certificate to confirm that you have met the standards set out.

What is LOLER?

LOLER is the Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations Act, and you need to fill the regulations set out by this law to make sure your tail lift is safe for continued use.

We can make sure your tail lift is strong and stable enough for its particular use and is installed and positioned correctly to minimise risk. This needs to be done every six months. If you don't have a LOLER examination you could be subject to an enforced action, so if you want a professional and quality LOLER service test, done by a company you can trust to do it right, then call Excel Tail Lifts today!

What is the difference between LOLER Inspection and WAV Check

A LOLER inspection is a regulatory inspection of your lifting equipment carried out by a competent engineer to ensure all equipment used for lifting is fit for purpose and appropriate for the task. This includes a full examination on the operation of the lift and comes complete with certification. Whereas an annual WAV check is preventative maintenance and is a requirement of PUWER. This is an inspection with full functionality tests and preventative maintenance of key parts.
